CurePSP has created a sophisticated infrastructure for attracting qualified scientists to do research. It has also established a PSP and CBD brain bank – The Eloise H. Troxel Memorial Brain Bank at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, which is the largest PSP brain depository in the world and a resource for investigators worldwide wanting to study this disease. In December 2006, the Board of Directors expanded the mission of CurePSP to include research and support for corticobasal ganglionic degeneration (CBD), which is a disease that is similar pathologically and clinically to PSP.
